Guest guest Posted April 7, 2001 Report Share Posted April 7, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Chile-Cheese Refried Bean Dip Recipe By :The Best Slow Cooker Cookbook Ever Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 can fat-free refried beans -- (16-ounce) 1 package cream cheese (8-oz) -- cut into cubes, soft 3/4 cup chopped scallions 1 can diced green chiles -- (4-ounce) 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1 can sliced ripe olives (2 1/4-oz) -- rinsed and drained Tortilla chips -- for serving 1. In a 1-quart mini electric slow cooker, mix together the refried beans and cream cheese. Stir in the scallions and chiles. 2. Cover, plug in the cooker, and cook 2 hours, stirring once or twice, until very hot. 3. Mix in 1/2 cup cheese and the olives. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup cheese on top. Serve immediately with tortilla chips for dipping. Yield: " 2 cups " - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : Put this on a couple of hours before you're expecting guests for a casual gathering.
