Braised Radicchio with Butter and Sage

2 heads radicchio -- trimmed & cut lengthwise into 1 " ribbons

8 tablespoons butter -- (1 stick)

6 fresh sage leaves -- each cut into 4 pieces

salt & freshly ground pepper to taste

 

Place the radicchio, butter, sage, and salt and pepper to taste in the insert of

the slow cooker. Stir to combine and then cover and cook on high for 3 to 5

hours or until the radicchio is wilted and quite soft.
