Steamed Rice

 

1 T butter

2 Lbs long-grained raw rice

10 cups hot water

5 tsp. salt

 

 

Coat the bottom and sides of crockpot with butter.

Combine rice, water and salt into the crockpot. Cover Pot.

Steam rice at high until all of water is absorbed (about 2 hours). (I'd

recommend making this one while you are home to keep an eye on it.)

Stir after 1 hour.

Keep warm for serving at low. Makes 10 cups.
