Guest guest Posted March 22, 2001 Report Share Posted March 22, 2001 Tempe Lentil Chili 1 pkg. tempe chopped 1 16 o.z. can diced tomatoes w/ mexican seasoning 1 16 o.z. can tomato sauce 1 C. green lentils rinsed and drained 1 small can chopped green chiles 1 jalapeno seeded & minced a med. onion chopped 1 tb. minced, garlic 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. hot smoked paprika dash hot sauce 1/4 tsp. cumin 1/2 tsp. old bay 2 bay leaves Place all ingredients in the crockpot stir well. Cook for 8-9 hours or until lentils are tender. Serve plain or over grain of choice w/ shredded cheese on top.
