Guest guest Posted March 17, 2001 Report Share Posted March 17, 2001 Green Beans with Savory Mushroom Sauce (Lowfat-Crockpot) Makes 6 to 8 servings 2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen French-style green beans, thawed 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted 1/4 cup dry vermouth or dry white wine 4 ounces (1-1/2 cups) mushrooms, sliced 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 cup crushed prepared croutons or canned fried onion rings Combine all ingredients except croutons in slow cooker. Mix until well blended. Cover and cook on LOW 3 to 4 hours or until beans are crisp-tender. Sprinkle with croutons. Serve warm.
