Guest guest Posted February 25, 2001 Report Share Posted February 25, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Fruit Crockpot Delight Recipe By :Barbara James of Clifton Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 5 pieces fruit, such as apples, pears and peaches -- (5 to 6) --whatever is in season and good to use --(use varieties appropriate for cooking) 1 cup orange juice 1/4 cup brown sugar (more if you like it sweetened) 1/2 cup raisins, Craisins, or currants 1 teaspoon cinnamon Peel, core, and coarsely chop fruit. Put fruit into crockpot; add remaining ingredients. Stir well. Cook on low heat for at least 6 hours, until fruit is soft enough to mash. Yield: about 2 cups fruit sauce. Guest guest Posted February 25, 2001 Report Share Posted February 25, 2001 All of these recipes are just amazing. I never even THOUGHT of doing half of this stuff with my crockpot. It's an old one I inherited from my mother years ago. I absolutely love it, but tend to use it now just for chilis and bean soups.
