Guest guest
In last Saturday's _Globe and Mail_ (Canada's national daily) 'Books' section, this caught my eye. I haven't seen it yet, but shall give it a good looking over when I do ;=) Donna Kelleher, _The Last Chance Dog: and other true stories of holistic animal healing. Scribner, 279 pp. $38 (Canadian dollars). Kelleher is a Seattle vet, described as a pioneer of 'holistic veterinary medicine, using herbs, acupuncture, chiropractic and nutrition' to treat her patients. In this book she 'discusses some of her most intriguing cases' and also offers 'advice on food, training and vaccinatiions, and simple step-by-step instructions for the treatment of many common pet problems'. The book is also described as '_All Things Great and Small_ for holistic vegetarians'. Has anyone seen it? Or does anyone know anything about the writer? best, pat -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace. " - Albert Schweitzer * " The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look upon the murder of men " - Leonardo da Vinci * " The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for white, or women created for men.
