Guest guest
here is a raw recipe i've actually tried.. i've not made it myself, but a friend of mine made it once while i was visiting. i know she got it from a recipe book... but i have no idea which one it is.. " burger " ingredients 1 cup walnuts, soaked (soak for 4 hours) 1 cup almonds, soaked (soak for 8 hours) 1 cup portabella mushrooms, chopped 1/2 cup grated carrots 1/4 cup onion, minced 2 tablespoons raw soy sauce (Nama Shoyu) 1 teaspoon coriander, ground 2/3 cups vegetable juice puree the nuts, mushrooms, and carrots in a food processor. then add the remaining ingredients and puree. form the dough into patty form, and place on a mesh dehydrator sheet. dehydrate the patties for 8 hours at 90 degrees. " cheese " 1/4 cup flax seeds 3 cups frozen organic corn kernals 1 teaspoon Celtic sea salt 1/2 cup chopped cilantro 1 teaspoon ginger, minced 1 teaspoon garlic, minced 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice 1/4 cup olive oil grind the flax seeds in a coffee grinder. add flax seeds and remaining ingredients in a blender, and mix well. spoon the mixture onto a dehydrator sheet. dehydrate at 100 degrees for 5 hours. cheese should have a chewy-crisp texture. after the " burgers " have dehydrated for the nine hours, place a " slice " of cheese on each burger, and dehydrate for an additional 2 hours. lol obviously some recipes can be very time consuming. probably why i haven't really tried many yet lol. just thought i would share!
