Guest guest
Tempura batter is a Japanese form of dipping batter that has a light quality for frying vegetables and even fish and some meats; though I don't use it for meat. I buy mine as a powdered mix and just add water. Maybe you can find it in an Asian cooking section of a store over there? That is where I find mine here in Oregon. Perhaps somebody here has a recipe for how to make it yourself and will post it. Guest guest
Dear P.T ! Thanks for your efforts. I never heard the word tempura butter but now I understand what it is. We have a little Asian market here in the town. I can ask there. <grin> It it not easy to talk with them, they mostly understand only chinese. But if you will find a recipe, that would be great! peace, Brigitte , " ~ P_T ~ <patchouli_troll> " <patchouli_troll> wrote: > Tempura batter is a Japanese form of dipping batter > that has a light quality for frying vegetables and even fish > and some meats; though I don't use it for meat. > > I buy mine as a powdered mix and just add water.
