Guest guest
This is how it works. When you sign up for ID and all you give them an email address you frequently use or one that you deem to be your primary one on your profile. At that time you choose to hide it or make it public; I take it you chose private. Then, later on you sign up to be on certain " interest groups " , like for example 'food and drink' or 'vegetarian cooking'. Your ID is posted on this list, but not your email that you have told them you want private. Then, a nice person like me [lol] looks at that list and thinks to herslf, " hm, I wonder if they might like to know about my vegetarian list? I think I'll have send them an invite. " I type your username in, and sends the invite to you. I never see your email address and they do all the sending. Hope that explains it and eases your concern. Now, if you wish to go to your profile and change or get that home email off it so doesn't have it as access anymore, feel free to email me offlist and I can walk you through that process. I do know my way around fairly well and I am always willing to help.
