Veggie food storage?

Have any of you ever purchased long-term storage meals? Seems extra

challenging to a vegetarian. With all the unrest out there, it

might be a good time to at least stock up on some... has anyone

looked into it?

Why? I would think it would be *more* of a challenge for a meat

eater, since animal products spoil so readily.

 

Suggestions: Dried beans, of all different kinds, grains, of all

different kinds, dried fruits/vegetables, canned fruits/vegetables,

if you drink milk, then dried powdered milk...

Excellent advice, Cheryll. I agree. I think our only main concern

in " times like these " *wink* would be water supply issues.

Way back when, during the Y2K hubbub, I just stocked up a

wee bit on bottled water jugs and purchased a water purity

hand pump thingie from the Real Goods catalogue; this is

just practical camping equipment so I didn't feel too silly since

I had always wanted one anyway.
