Guest guest
The TV station i work for did a story on this kitten yesterday. amazing the poor kitten is as good of shape it's in. I'm hoping to adopt it. I know there's probably a long waiting list now of people who saw the story & want to give it a good home, but my name is first on the list so hopefully that'll give me an edge. ggg Alina Songwind ====== Cat That Survives Arrow in Head, Up For Adoption Soon (Feb. 14) -- Residents in a southwest valley apartment complex are outraged over an act of extreme animal cruelty. Someone shot a 9-month old cat through the head with an arrow, and no one seems to know who did it. Sadly, doctors here at this animal hospital say they've seen such cases before. But no matter how often they have to deal with it, they say, its something you never get used to. We warn you that the video you are about to see may be disturbing to watch. The amateur videotape only hints at the animal's suffering. This 9-month old cat was shot with two arrows, one of them lodged in his head. Teresa Ragan was the first to see this disturbing sight: " I approached the cat, and made sure it was okay. When I climbed up the stairs it really meowed at me like it was in severe pain. " Ragan and her neighbor called authorities, which transported the wounded animal to the Mountain Vista Animal Hospital. Dr. Amy Bossung performed the surgery to remove the arrow--saving the kitten's life: " This prognosis is real good for the cat.as long as it doesn't develop an infection. Nothing vital was hurt, so I think it will recover. The cat, now affectionately being called " Arrowhead " by workers at Mountain Vista, will be allowed to continue his recovery and it will be put up for adoption in about 2-weeks. The cat's owner threw the pet out of her house perhaps just moments before the attack. Now she's willing to give the animal up for adoption.
