Hi,

I don't like the taste of my local water either but I don't

use an at-home filtering system. In the SF Bay Area there

are a number of different places which provide water that

is filtered more than an at-home filtering system could provide.

The systems includes reverse osmosis, ionization (de-ionization?),

plus carbon/charcoal filtering before and after these stages. Prices

vary a lot per gallon. The place I go charges 25 cents per gallon.

Other business charge 45 cents or more. Some home delivery places

charge 85 centers to a dollar. Also there is a licensing procedure

(at least in California) and you might want to check that their

license is up to date.

I know that our local water has a lot of minerals in it. Some

may be good but I think some are bad. I give our dogs the bottled

water and also cook with the bottled water.
