The only problem I see here is that Dr. Mercola suggests soy limits far less than what's found in a traditionally Asian diet, and he severely trashes soy on top of that. Which does a reasonable person follow? (BLECH) As for the soy, I think too much of anything (foodwise, that is) is not a good thing, including soy. I agree, with him it's issue by issue. This is good enough for me. Yes, I recognize that East Asians may have some subtle adaptations making them able to benefit from more tofu - these could have been accrued through small mutations and natural selection over the hundreds or thousands of years that they've been eating tofu. I'll accept that risk. I cross streets too, and drive a car. I don't worry about it much.
