Guest guest
Hi everyone - I went to Bertucci's Brick Oven Pizzeria in Baltimore the other night and they had the best dish called Spinach Ricotta Gnocci. It was fantastic. I usually have limited success finding something on a restaurant menu that's vegetarian and tastes good too but this dish was wonderful. If anyone would know how to duplicate the recipe, please let me know. It seemed like the gnocci was made potatoes and ricotta with a little spinach and then they were tossed in a light buttery creamy sauce with fresh spinach. I don't have a clue how to make gnocci though...lol. Thanks a bunch. Hope you guys try it. Shannon " What the caterpillar thinks is the end of the world, the butterfly knows is only the beginning. Guest guest
This sounds really delicious, Shannon, but what is a gnocci? *lol* Is it like a perogi? (sp) I'd second the request for more info and for recipes with gnocci in them. The word alone is worthy of some... gnocci.... sounds like something lovers do. ~ PT ~ It's a shallow life that doesn't give a person a few scars. -Garrison Keillor, radio host and author (1942- ) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> , " Shannon Jancius < shannonjancius> " <shannonjancius> wrote: > Hi everyone - I went to Bertucci's Brick Oven Pizzeria in Baltimore > the other night and they had the best dish called Spinach Ricotta > Gnocci. But you'd need to spell it correctly: gnocchi. They are little potato-dough thingies that are Italian and have stuffing. They generally get boiled. I'm not impressed by them so far. But I've not had homemade gnocchi.
