Guest guest
Are you one of those who says " I can't cook " ? Well, EVEN YOU can make this stew. That's right, you CAN! :-) It's so easy. Just dump the stuff in a crockpot and forget it till dinnertime! No time to cut stuff up? Well, instead of the potatoes, use about a half bag of the southern-style hashbrown potatoes (they're like diced). Instead of dicing veggies, use about a half bag of frozen mixed veggies, and instead of dicing up celery and onions, use a half bag of frozen " Seasoning Mix " I think it's called. What could be easier... EZ Crockpot Stew 3-4 medium potatoes, diced rather small, or sliced 1/2 cup onion, diced 1/2 cup celery, diced 1 1/2 cup veggies of your choice, diced. (I like to use green beans, corn and carrots) 1 can diced tomatoes (about a lb.) Veggie burger crumbles, about 1 1/2 cups. Layer the potatoes, onions, celery, and veggies in crockpot. Put veggie burger crumbles on top and stir them down in a little. Pour canned tomatoes (with juice) over the top. Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours, or until a " test " potato seems done. You can add herbs if you like, but I prefer to just pass the salt and pepper at the table.
