Guest guest
I've talked to the moderator and I *hope* to stay. Lisa's message really got under my skin and from now on I'll just ignore those inflammatory remarks. The thing is, as a vegan, I also don't eat honey. If someone else says they are a vegan, but they eat honey, then I'm not going to tell them that they're not a vegan, or less dedicated or caring than I am because they eat honey. I realize that they are living up to the best of their abilities and beliefs, that everyone's beliefs are different and just because someone else's diet is more restrictive than someone else's is, doesn't mean they're more dedicated or better, it just means their belief system/lifestyle is different, the same way if someone is vegetarian and eats milk and eggs, it doesn't mean that I care more or am more dedicated to animal welfare because I am a vegan. We all share a common goal and that is to end animal suffering. We can't very well do that if we are spending our time being hateful to each other, trying to one-up each other or find fault with each other. Thanks for allowing me to explain this, and I would like the same respect given to me. Liz
