It was QUILLS that I saw, starring Geoffrey Rush, Kate Winslet, and

Michael Caine. Excellent film about hypocrisy, guile, and the compulsions

of art and writing.

 

Bit of the Frater in Rush's de Sade, too.

 

Recommended to about an eighth of the present company. All others should

avoid like smallpox.

I tried watching when it first came to video...It was

too late at night and I didn't last long. I'd like to

see it again. A & E had a good biography on the

Marquis...He was a part of their evil deeds week

(personally I feel it was unfair to put him up there

with Hitler and Dahmer).
