You caused no negative feelings. Those all came from inside the people who decided to spew them, and it's their responsibility. You did what you felt was right on an issue you feel strongly about. Bravo. Be proud. Oh, and if you cause some reactions, hey, maybe you made some folks think a bit, huh? Just remember, how others react is entirely up to them, and is their responsibility, not yours.
