Conversion of USA Recipes to System Used Elsewhere

I didn't think of this yesterday when Marie asked about the

stick of butter, but I finally remembered it....

 

For those trying to convert US recipes to the system used in

the rest of the world.... there's no straight (ratioed)

conversion of volume (as used in the USA) to weight (as used

by the rest of the world, AFAIK) - no universal formula.

 

But the best conversion table I know is here, this is very
