Sorry about this, but when groups get to a certain size, sometimes a

few rules help to make things around here flow more smoothly. I

promise

they will be nothing too intense.

 

#1. No more online petitions posted to the group. I know some of you

are really into your causes, but please do not send them here to us.

They

really don't work well into our format and when they get full of

" signatures " they can cause a digest email to scroll forever.

All petition posts will be deleted as soon as I see them, which may

or may

not get them off in time to save the digest readers.

I apologise that the last one slipped through.

I will then place the petition poster on moderation mode to avoid

any further

repost attempts.

If the offender tries to submit another petition, they will be shown

to the door.

#2. If you are posting a recipe in your email, please either make

sure the post

title sounds like a recipe or highlight that fact with something like

these:

" Veggie Stew "

OR

" [recipe] Hi gang! "

OR

" My cat swallowed my pet bird! [contains recipe] " .

 

All other offtopic posts can continue as is, but if we just highlight

our recipes

then those who are primarily interested in those can be sure to catch

them before deleteing the post. This also helps me out as I am trying

to

catch all that you share to place into our files section.
