roasted peppers (thanks and OT gardening question)

Thanks for posting this. I am going to have to try it a next time I

see the red

peppers on sale. I didn't realise they could keep for so long and

they certainly

would be a lovely addition to salads and most any other dish. FYI, I

placed

this in the files under side dishes; I wasn't sure where else to

place it, bt at

least it is there. :)

 

OT....Last year I grew some green bell pepers and placed the plants

near my

roma tomatoes. Now I don't know if this is true or not, but somebody

told me

once that the tomatoes will get a slightly peppery flavor when

planted in

close proximity to the them. I thought they did, but perhaps it was

the power

of suggestion. (?) Do any avid or experienced gardeners know if this

is true or

a myth?
