Guest guest Posted January 21, 2003 Report Share Posted January 21, 2003 If school kids actually ate school lunches, rather than throwing them at each other and throwing most of them away each meal, I'd buy into this more. However, once again, look into it on a practical level -- go eat lunch with your kid at his or her school sometime. You'll see what I mean -- huge waste, highly selective picking, and all kinds of other stuff going on. This is, I believe, yet another trickle-down rivulet of propagandistic drool from Rush's armpit, having been placed there by the sheer excitement of having W whisper sweet nothings like this to him. Having said this, I am in no way defending school lunch programs, on the local level. When we moved to Nebraska we toured the school our kids would go to, and were told in a proud tone that, " we serve hot dogs every day to make sure the kids will eat...
