Let's see what's practical...

Peanut butter...Laura Scudder's Old Fashioned...2 tsps...16 g fat, 8 g prot,

and 6 g carb...200 calories.

Boca Burger, original, vegan...1 burger patty...1.6 g fat, 19 g prot, and 3

g carb (8 total - 5 fiber)...120 calories.

Counrty ham, Lightlife Smart Deli...3 slices...0 g fat, 11 g prot, and 3 g

carb...60 calories.

Lightlife Smart dogs...1 dog...0 g fat, 9 g prot, and 1 g carb (2 total - 1

fiber)...45 calories.

Yves veggie pizza pepperoni...16 slices (approx 1 " dia per slice)...0 g fat,

14 g prot, and 1 g carbo (4 total - 3 fiber)...70 calories.

Tofu, Nasoya, extra firm...1/5 of 1 lb block...5 g fat, 11 g prot, and 1 g

carb...90 calories.

Hmmm, I conclude from this data that while peanut butter is a fine staple in

many veggie homes (and great for children who need the high levels of fat),

it is not a good protein source in a diabetic home.
