Guest guest
Hello everyone. I'm a new member and would like to introduce myself. I have only recently become a vegetarian, although I had been interested in it for several years. Becoming aware of the horrors of factory farming, and the hormones and antibiotics fed to livestock, I have decided for my health to avoid any animal products whatsoever. However, I consider myself a lacto-vegetarian at this point because I am still consuming small amounts of dairy. I was very surprised that so many of our foods that we buy at the supermarket that we think are vegetarian contain animal products. I'm learning a whole new way to eat and to cook and am thoroughly enjoying my new lifestyle. It's also wonderful to be able to share with others. I posted this question on another board but would like to hear your comments: Is soy dangerous? I've read that the estrogren found in soy can cause cancer and that the processing of soy is almost as unhealthy as dairy. Rose
