Guest guest
Yep, that's what I do, I eat complex carbohydrates such as whole grains and raw fruits rather than processed stuff like white bread, refined sugar, or pasta. However, I still find it more difficult than you'd imagine to stay under 200 - 250 grams of carbs per day. They are EVERYWHERE. Guest guest
>>...to stay under 200 - 250 grams of carbs per day...<< Okay! If my diet had 200 g of carb, I'd be getting 800 calories from them alone. I'd add 1/3 of that for fat--let's see that about 73 g of fat for another 657 calories. Also, I'd add 146 g of protein, which is another 584 calories. (My calculations are designed to keep me within the quidelines for " The Soy Zone. " ) In total, I'd be eating 2,041 calories. Not bad!! The average US diet for a woman is 2,000 calories, for a man it's roughly 3,000. My diet is even lower in calories. I aim for 1,600-1,700 per day. Granted, my diet is not for everyone. Generally, I eat about 160-180 g of carb. To that I add 45-55 g of fat and around 90-115 g of protein. My meals are at five different times during the day. To all of that, I drink 80-100 oz of filtered water but minimal amounts with my food. I hope this example helps to sort out your carbs.
