Guest guest
And I'll bet that in those " political debates " you are " hell on wheels. " There'll be no republican party bashing from me. ;-) Dave PS. BTW, I intentionally registered in a third party, so I could equally bash both major parties, but mum's the word in this group. Allison Nations [allyanne2001] Friday, January 17, 2003 5:51 AM Time Out Mr. Stewart I'm not mad and I LOVE a political debate but --- Please don't associate Republicans with monsters anymore. I am a harcore conservative and I am NO monster. I get insulted every single time I read about Republicans and it seems to be thrown up everytime someone a point is trying to be made. I could sit here and do the same thing but do not want to offend anyone because of their political choice (I really could have put something smart a** here just now). So please, no more party bashing - it really isn't cool. Not every Vegetarian, cloth diapering, composting, recycling, homebirthing, homeschooling, gentle parent, breast feeding, thrift shopping person is a Liberal. In fact,FAR FAR FAR FAR from it. My mother s to Mother Jones. I have much more to say about that but will wait until after my darling daughter has been fed and is wearing a fresh CLOTH diaper. Warmly, Allison
Guest guest
LOL:) Actually I am a paying member of the Libertarian party but will throw a vote towards a Republican only if need be. And I too make fun of them but recognize that as far as the two evils go.....Well, you get the point. Guest guest
Interesting...I can't say that I have felt that need! Guest guest
Likewise, not every liberal is a registered democrat. Political party " bashing " does not equal personal people bashing either. *s* :::peers over her glasses and sips her warm brew::: ~ P_T ~ Five great enemies to peace inhabit with us: avarice, ambition, envy, anger and pride.Ê If those enemies were to be banished, we should infallibly enjoy perpetual peace. ~ Petrarch ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> , Allison Nations < allyanne2001> wrote: Not every Vegetarian, cloth diapering, > composting, recycling, homebirthing, homeschooling, > gentle parent, breast feeding, thrift shopping person > is a Liberal. Guest guest
Well, Allison, as long as we're taking a time out, why not adjourn to my website: www.genestewart.com By the way, I'm a Republican, too. And a monster. (cookie varietel) It's fascism I have trouble enjoying, from either side of the razor wire, not the game of politics. As to labels such as conservative or liberal, that's all just another word game. Check out the Dixie Democrats of the 1950s and 1960s. What they were the C3 right wing Republican " conservative " religious fanatics are now, right down to Trent Lott's racism, as echoed in W's Pickering appointment , his stance against Affirmative Action, and his recent nonsense about celebrating anti-abortion day. I'd go on, but I know nothing about pollitics and don't pay any attention to what's going on around me, just too silly for words.
