Guest guest
I should have got back to you earlier - but here I am, having tried two of Marie's lovely tempeh recipes - only two, so far (sorry) - we don't eat tempeh every day of course ;=) The first one I tried was the Tempeh Stroganoff. I can say without any equivocation that it was delicious - much nicer than most vegetarian stroganoffs I have tried, and certainly the only *vegan* stroganoff I have ever had. I'll stick with this one - it's a winner ;=) The second one we had for lunch today: Thai Tempeh (from Family Circle Asian Vegetarian Recipes). It is quick, easy and absolutely delicious. Mind you, we halved the recipe (just the two of us lunching) but trebbled the chillies for that amount. We used Thai chillies, and although they are small and red they aren't the hottest, and we are used to hot ;=) Like Marie we had to make do with dried kaffir lime leaves for the marinade and coriander leaves/cilantro for the garnish. Again, this one is a winner ;=) Thanks very much! Now to try the others - but not all at once. I have a fridge full of tofu to work on first ;=) Shall report back after the weekend! best, pat -- PAT (In London, Ontario) Email List: townhounds- (townhounds/) Personal Email: SANTBROWN Personal Webpage: http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace.
