A scary bug story

For those who are vegetarian or vegan in an attempt to improve or

preserve their health, I submit here a link to a book review in _The

Globe and Mail_ - titled 'A scary bug story' it reviews Michael

Chnayerson and Mark J. Plotkins's _The Killers Within: The Deadly Rise

of Drug-Resistant Bacteria_ (Little, Brown). It's from the Satufday,

The review article, which naturally focuses on Canadian content ( _G and

M_ is after all Canada's natiional daily), discusses inter alia 'how

modern factory farms are perfect breeding grounds for antibacterial

resistance'.

 

Give a printout to Aunt Sadie and Mom and all those people who think

you're killing yourself on a veggie diet ;=) Better yet, give em a copy

of the book with their next offering of Easter Ham or Christmas Turkey

or whatever.
