With a mail-based program you don't get ads in your mailbox, but I was thinking of the website too. " daveo " <daveo wrote: >I would not be too hasty in disableing Flash on your system. Disabling or eliminating ads is one thing, but Flash is just a web tool like HTML, which is the basis for displaying ALL information on websites. I have seen some pretty impressive uses of Flash for non-ad purposes. Okay, you're right, it's a question of choice. But if you consider the percentage of the flash used for ads and the flash for fancy moving things on websites, the former is predominant. Of course it also depends on how much the ads bother you. There is still another thing, that can be enabled or disabled at will. It's under Internet Options, Advanced. Enable/disable animations, show or not show pictures. For instance when I go to recipe websites where I want to copy paste dozens of recipes, and each of them is in a new page, and I don't want this to take hours, I uncheck the " show pictures " thing, so the pages load much more quickly. Then, when I'm finished, I re-check the little box, and here you are! I mention this because I think most of you do visit recipe sites very often, right?
