I too have not tried this recipe but I've been told most of Linda

McCartney's recipes are pretty good. So, I apologize if this is very

similar to others already posted, but thought you might as well have

access to this one as well.

 

Meatless Balls

 

1 pound vegetable burgers

1/4 cup bread crumbs

salt & pepper to taste

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 large onion -- chopped

1 cup milk

1 egg -- beaten

1 tablespoon fresh parsley -- chopped

1 tablespoon soy sauce

vegetable oil for frying

 

Crumble the burgers of your choice into a mixing bowl and use your

fingers to work in the breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Set aside. Melt

the butter in a frying pan and saute the onion until transparent. Mix

the milk and egg together and add, with the parsley and soy sauce, to

the dry mix. Stir well. Add the onion saute. Stir thoroughly and

shape into 24 small balls. Fry until well browned all over.

 

Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 24 Calories; 2g Fat (57.4%

calories from

fat); 1g Protein; 2g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 12mg

Cholesterol; 70mg

Sodium. Exchanges: 0 Grain(Starch); 0 Lean Meat; 0 Vegetable; 0 Non-

Fat Milk;

1/2 Fat.
