Guest guest
Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself quickly. I live in the UK, fairly near Oxford, and I have been a vegetarian for 9 years now. As I was quite young when I became, veggie, I have never cooked with meat or meat products, so I don't miss it, and have always had to carefully what goes into my recipes. There is only my husband, who is also veggie, and myself (+ 2 cats) living in my household so preparing meals that are cheap and filling is important, and I don't have to worry about making the meals adaptable for meat eaters. I don't eat meat, meat derivatives, cheese made with animal rennet or battery hen eggs. I do eat dairy products and free range eggs but I also love vegan food and would like to cut down the amount of dairy products and eggs I eat. I'm not afraid of rolling up my sleeve and doing some preparation for a meal, as long as the food is worth it at the end. I learnt most of my cooking by myself, and as I used to work in a spice factory organising taste tests (oh, the joy) I like to try different foods and food combinations (Tip, Marmalade and Curry, not so good as a combo despite what people might tell you). I really look forward to seeing the recipes on the list and having a chat about veggie `issues'. Oh, and I'm dyslexic so expect the occasional interestingly spelt word and yoda-esk sentence structure. Caroline
