Guest guest
I loved the pictures Pat! Thanks for sharing them. Please don't tell her I said this- but Katycat looks as if she wears the pants in that family! LOL I bet those two big dogs tow a line when she is around! But you know, I guess bassets are really fairly big dogs - but big dogs with very short legs! Our three animals are all rescue animals, btw: Ms. Katycat, The Supreme Empress of the Universe Or At Least Part of Pennsylvania, came from an SPCA in Delaware. My mother adopted her, then died shortly thereafter. So Katy came to live with us, and has ruled our household with an iron paw in a velvet glove ever since. Terra (German shepherd/golden retriever mix) came from the SPCA here, she was about 1.5 years old when we were lucky enough to find her, and Sean-the-collie came from a collie rescue group: he was about a year old when he joined our family. She's the undisputed boss here, we all tow the line when Katy's around. She's the senior animal here, she was here first. She clearly likes Terra, and tolerates Sean-the-collie. Katycat sleeps in the big bay window ledge - her pillow and afghan are there (some people have plants in their big bay windows, I have a cat bed!). Anyway, Sean barks hysterically whenever AnEvilMotorCycle or the BigBlackEvilHayTruck goes by (hangover from his past life). He's tall enough to see out the bay window and he'll forget that Ms. Katycat is there and bark hysterically right in her ear while she's asleep..... She does *not* like this. She did unbend enough to lick his nose the other day, though. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. Pat -- Pat Meadows Books, books! Low prices.
