Excellent point! Every liberal friend I have eats

meat, lives in luxury, preaches about this or that but

takes no action. I however really piss them off

because I am a hardcore conservative...I'm Libertarian

with conservative social issues. Yet, I homebirth,

homeschool, cloth diaper, do not eat meat, recycle,

compost, make everything from scratch, only watch

about one hour of television a week (CSI). I practice

what many Leftists I know preach:) I take care of my

environment, do my part, but do not expect the rest of

the world to. And those that want the Government to

regulate everything really don't understand what

consequences would be...

Warmly,

Allison

Let's don't stereotype.

I'm a Liberal and was trying to conserve the environment, be

self-reliant and so on probably before you were even born.

Nor do LIberals want the Government to regulate everything:

that's just propaganda, dis-information.

Political discussions on mailing lists and Usenet inevitably

degenerate to name-calling and ill-will. You've just

insulted me, for instance, probably unmeaningly.

The dearest people in the world to me are Liberals.

And I am a rarity in the Conservative front.

Environmental issues are equal to regulation.

Wonderful that you're politically passionate...So many

aren't.

I didn't mean to insult you. And I didn't stereotype,

I pointed out my observations in people I personally

know. Notice I always typed the words 'I know' after

each Liberal or Leftist. I never said all Liberals

were like this. Only those I know. I never name

called. Seems you took what I said out of

context...Sincere apologies that you misread, I can

understand why you became angry. Good for you for

being environmentally conscious...Since before my

birth.

(IMO) I don't see anything wrong with speaking

politically on this group...I'm sure many are

political about their vegetarianism. Just as long as

no one flames, gets hostile, or as you put it; name

calls.
