Human nature keeps us suspicious of anything or anyone different from ourselves and, as most of us are beef-eaters, a vegetarian is unusual. Until circumstance forces most of us to be vegetarian, it'll be like this. Remember, in certain regions of India, being a meat eater would be suspicious.
