Whole Grains Are Slower

Yes, it sure does.

 

Incidentally, you know how they sell Cheerios as being Heart Healthy?

Well, they are, BUT, they are also puffed, so that they aren't really

dense the way, say, All Bran is, or Grape Nuts. Consequently, they end

up being quickly digested, and this releases their carbohydrates faster

into one's bloodstream. Oddly enough, it's better to eat the denser

stuff, and a bit less of it, so that it's digested more slowly.

 

That's one of the advantages of whole grain breads and pastas, too, by

the way.
