Guest guest Posted November 9, 2002 Report Share Posted November 9, 2002 Scalloped Onions and Peas 1/4 cup butter or margarine 3 Tbs flour 1/2 tsp ground mustard 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 cups milk 1 tsp Worchestershire sauce 2 jars (15 oz each ) white onions, drained 1 package (10 oz) frozen peas 1/2 cup sliced blanched almonds 3 Tbs grated Parmesan cheese Paprika to garnish In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in flour, mustard and salt; cook and stir until bubbly. Stir in milk and Worchestershire sauce; cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes. Gently stir in onions, peas and almonds. Pour into a greased 2 qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and paprika. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
