Cornmeal Cheddar Biscuits

These are great even for breakfast. So quick to prepare especially when all

you have to do is drop them on the baking sheet.

 

Cornmeal Cheddar Biscuits

 

1 1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup yellow cornmeal

2 tsp sugar

1 Tbs baking powder

1/4 to 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup milk

 

In a bowl, combine dry ingredients; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in cheese

and milk until moistened. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto an ungreased baking

sheet. Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes or until light gloden brown. Serve

warm. Yield: 1 dozen
