I'm sorry you have to go through this. I talked to a sprouter on the phone yesterday -- really a nice guy and very knowlegable. Years ago, his mother was elderly, diabetic and she needed him to move in to care for her. She was at 76 units of insulin. He said, " OK but you'll have to eat sprouts. " She agreed, so he moved in. He started putting a lot of sprouts (frozen, and ground up) in her morning oatmeal (I forgot which kind, but he said today he'd use buckwheat). Day three she went into insulin shock and her levels had to be dropped to 35 u. By the end of the week her levels were dropped to 10 u. She became non- diabetic and that was done only by the addition of those sprouts into her oatmeal. I may be fuzzy on the details, but if you want to talk with him yourself, I'll put you in touch. This guy has been eating all raw for 6 months, he's 65, and says (and sounds like) he's got energy to burn and feels great. He eats about a pound of raw sprouts of various sorts every day. BTW, he says his food bill dropped way down when he started eating this way, too. I'm going to put a lot more sprouts and raw, organic produce in my diet give it a try. I'm sitting here drinking a shake right now that's got a bunch of sprouted lentils and some green magma and bee pollen in it. I'm going to use my juicer more. I know when I've upped my intake of raw foods in the past I've had much better mood and energy. We'll see -- I may look great in shorts next summer and wow the doc with my next blood test. Wish me luck! Dunno if I shared this, but for exercise I found a fun site the other day: www.iskip.com Melinda
