I have made it with low-fat sourcream and cottage cheese with good results. The only thing I do differently from the recipe is to puree or blend out the lumps from the cottage cheese. I have never liked that texture. Hungarian Noodles Preheat oven to 350. Cook in salted water until almost tender: 1/2 lb fettucine noodles Drain and combine with: 1 cup cottage cheese 1 cup sour cream 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions 2 large cloves garlic, minced 1 Tbs poppy seeds 1 Tbs tamari Bake in an 8-inch square baking dish at 350 for 30 minutes. Sprinkle top with: 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 tsp paprika Bake for 5 minutes more until cheese melts.
