I also seem to think that it may be easier for an American male to marry a

foreign female.

Often, countries like the Dominican Republic have less develped women's

rights which makes it easier for the foreign woman to adapt " up " to

advanced civil rights than the man.... Just a thought

I think you are right there, Genie. Always easier to gain more freedom and

rights than to try to live without ones you've had.
