" Anything that hurts me or my children in MY space will suffer dire

consenquences. " Warmly, Allison

Ha! I couldn't agree more. I am pretty peace-lovin' nice to all kinds of

critters

that creep in my humble home, but if they are poisonous or sting me or the

kids, it is Beethoven's 5th for them! *lol*

posted a good recipe on their health site. Cool. Thanks for sharing the

veggie curry recipe here, Genie. I never really think to check there.

" Hi P_T, hope you feel better and soon. I'm gonna have to try those pumpkin

seeds shortly since the candy holiday is coming shortly. Gotta work on my

carving skills. Cheers, Shawn. "

Thanks, Shawn. I am feeling much better today. One thing about taking lots

of vitamin C and some herbs, the colds don't pack as big of a punch. Plus I

drank lots of warm teas and rested. If you have a digi-cam or can scan

pictures of those pumpkin carvings, feel free to post them here. I would love

to see how creative folks get.

" Do you guys ever get a mood where you have nothing edible at home, you

are hungry but you go to the grocery store and have no idea what to

buy? I ended up spending $40, but part of it was on fixins for bloody

marys... still no vodka. Why don't liquor stores stay open late?~ Genie "

Good question! *lol*

I hope you all are having a good day. I actually got up early and baked some

really good bran muffins. I'll post the recipe later on. Cheers!

The zoo is a prison for animals who have been sentenced without trial and I

feel guilty because I do nothing about it. I wanted to see an oyster-catcher,

so I was no better than the people who caged the oyster-catcher for me to

see.

That's good to hear P_T! Knock it out with the C tabs, that's what I do as

well. Making a good batch of Pico de gallo (I'm on a pico kick right now)

and consuming that helps as well (cuz of them C potent jalapenos).

As to the liquor store inquiry that Genie had mentioned, I had a revelation

a few years ago. I visited a friend in L.A. and we went to the grocery

store to get some food for the week. 2 double takes and a gasp and a " where

the heck am I? " later, there in front of me was an aisle filled with vodka

and other liquor bottles. You could buy it any day, no restricted hours I

believe, or at least later than 9. I hadn't realized it was a state law

thing. Anyway, enough of the rambling.

Take care,

Shawn.
