Guest guest
I have a bread machine and I make our bread with it. I had a terrible time making good 100% wholewheat bread - just couldn't do it in spite of a lot of experimentation - until someone gave me this recipe, so I'll post it here. This is pretty good. I can make better 100% wholewheat bread by hand using the sponge method, but I don't do it very often any more (arthritis makes standing in the kitchen painful, also lack of time) so I was very happy to find this recipe. Pat ----------------- 100% WholeWheat Bread for the Bread Machine 1 1/3 cup water 3 TBS oil 2 TBS honey 3 1/2 cups wholewheat flour 2 TBS wheat gluten 1 tsp salt 1/4 cup millet for a little crunch (optional) 2 tsp yeast Use the 'wheat' cycle in your machine if it has one. --------------------- -- Pat Meadows Books, books!
