Guest guest
This is very good to serve as a sidedish on a cool autumn evening. I have even used it to stuff a large seeded (halved lengthwise) zucchini; you know those pesky buggars that grow like pod people when left unchecked. The zucchini half made a lovely boat dish for presentation, too. Corn Bread Dressing 1 pkg.(6oz) corn bread stuffing cubes 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1 celery rib, finely chopped 1 can (8-1/4oz) cream-style corn 1 cup water 1 Tbs butter or margarine. melted 1 Tbs spicy brown mustard In a large bowl, combine the stuffing, onion, celery, corn and water. Spoon into a greased 8-in square baking dish. Combine butter and mustard; drizzle over stuffing. Bake uncovered at 375 for 20 minutes or until heated through well. Yield: 4-6 servings The most useful phrase one can learn in Russian (after " Ya loobloo peat vodku " - I love to drink vodka) has to be " Nyet, Ya koshka " or " No I'm a cat. " It provides an excellent answer to almost any question asked of you....Do you know where the kiosk is? No, I'm a cat. Would you give me the pleasure of joining me for dinner tonight? No, I'm a cat. Did you remember to do the dishes? No, I'm a cat. Try it out for a few days and I promise you'll get asked less questions! ~ Andrea Balboa
