Guest guest
This is so good, and refreshing for a warm day treat. My daughter requests I fix them for every b-day party. They make good slushies and you can keep a few bags of these cubes onhand for when you want something a bit different with afterschool snack. Fruit Slush Mix 4 cups water 4 cups sugar 1 (6oz) can frozen orange juice concentrate 1/2 cup lemon juice 1 (46oz) can pineapple juice Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Add orange juice concentrate, lemon juice, and pineapple juice. Fill 6 or 7 ice cube trays. Freeze until firm. Remove cubes from freezer trays and store in freezer bags. Label and date contents. Use within 6 months. Makes about 100 small cubes. Variations: You can add 5 or 6 mashed bananas to mixture before freezing. Also you can play around with different kinds of juice... like cranberry etc. To make a glass of fruit slush, fill a glass with slush cubes and cover with ginger ale. Let it stand for 15 minutes and stir. Garnish with orange wedges or pineapple slice. ~ P_T ~ To be well informed, one must read quickly a great number of merely instructive books. To be cultivated, one must read slowly and with a lingering appreciation the comparatively few books that have been written by men who lived, thought, and felt with style. -Aldous Huxley, writer (1894-1963)
