Guest guest
Such a yummy, rich cookie. My best playmate's mom always made these when I was over to climb trees, ride horses, or make mud-pies. These sort of look like mud pies! *lol* Now my kids like them too, and of course I never quit. Mix up a batch, drop them on wax paper, and fix a warm cup of your favorite witch's brew to drink with one or two. :::coffeemug salute:::: Chocolate Oatmeal No-Bakes 2 cups sugar 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup butter 1/3 cup cocoa pwdr 3 cups rolled oats 1/2 cup shredded coconut (I have just added oatmeal in place of this when I was out before, and it worked rather nicely in a pinch) 1/2 cup peanut butter 1 tsp vanilla extract Combine the sugar, milk and butter in a saucepan. Boil 2 full minutes, stirring constantly (very important). Remove from heat and add the rest of the ingredients. Drop on waxed paper to cool. Makes about 30 cookies unless you have faeries in the house... as they can magickally disappear right under your nose. ~ P_T ~ I am neither especially clever nor especially gifted. Makes about 30 cookies ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Dang. I just noticed when I was posting this recipe over on a coffee club I co-host, that I screwed up on the instructions. *lol* I shall ammend it for the files, but just so you know, do add the cocoa pwdr to the first process of boiling the sugar, milk, and butter. There.... I feel better now. ~ P_T ~ Love is never lost.
