Guest guest
It is wonderful to come here and see this group has grown. Do spread the word to anyone or any other cooking group you belong to. The more people we can get here who want to participate, the more enjoyable it will become. I was also pleased reading the intros to learn many of you aren't even vegetarians, but are here b/c of interest in learning new recipes that are meat-free and delicious. That is great. Meat-free cooking is easy, economical, and healthy; not to mention very tasty. I think you will enjoy some of the recipes here. There are also many meat-substitutes available that are wonderfully convenient and found in local markets all over. If you see them mentioned in recipes and are unfamiliar with the brand names, don't hesitate to ask one of us here for more information. My name is Robin and I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian. I enjoy recipes that are vegan as well. I live in a household where I am the only vegetarian, so I usually have to prepare vegetarian meals in smaller sizes or make sure they are so good my meat-eating family will like them as well. This is my greatest challenge, and it is also fun. I have found most any 'regular' recipe can be adapted to fit my lifestyle choice, and I can still put a sit-down dinner on the table that everyone likes. Most of the recipes I post will be of that nature; tried and true... basic fare. I have two young children (9 & 11), so they aren't into haute cuisine.... yet. *lol* I look forward to passing on what I know, and learning from all of you as we move along in this group.
