I'm a grad student studying botany, have lived abroad as a Peace Corps Volunteer and love critters. Specifically, the love of my life is my black mutt dog, Carbon. I volunteer with an animal rescue group and currently have a foster dog, Bella. She is very sweet but was starved and beaten by the horrid man who had her before. So, we are having to teach her to be happy and try to get her to gain weight. Other hobbies include sleeping, crochet, and hand quilting... but I don't have much time for that anymore. I look forward to getting to know everyone... Here's a salad that my aunt made that I love, but I love vinegar. I'm going to make it this weekend... yummy COOL VEGETABLE SALAD 1 can 16 oz. french cut green beans, seasoned 1 can 16 oz. shoe peg white corn 1 can 16 oz.. young small sweet peas 1 jar 2 oz. chopped pimentos 1 green pepper chopped 1 cup chopped celery 1 bunch green onions with tops, chopped Bring to boil: 3/4 cup vinegar 1 Tablespoon water 1/2 cup salad oil 3/4 cup sugar Cool.
