Guest guest
Greeting Members: Don't forget to hold on to receipts and warranties of your "high end" kitchen appliances or low end for that matter. I mentioned to you last year that Vita Mix replaced my Canister and Motor (free of charge) at the end of 7 years. I was really happy and surprised. In 2008 Cooking.com replaced the lid on my Cuisinart Food Processor (purchased in 2004), I only paid for S & H. In late 2009 the second lid broke and I called to inquire about another replacement. This time I was told that they no longer had replacement lids, that I should check with the manufacturer and if they couldn't replace the lid then call them back. Well, the manufacturer no longer makes that particular model of Processor and therefore, couldn't help me. When I called Cooking.com again, I was told that if I returned the whole Processor and it's parts that they would replace it for free. I only paid for shipping out. Now, I know for a fact that there was a 7 year warranty on the Vita Mix but I'm not sure about any warranties on the Processor but I am very elated with the replacement. There are some people who speak about how difficult it is without a dehydrator in their possession but I can truely say from experience that it is almost impossible to live without my Vita Mix or Food Processor. I didn't realize just how much we've used them for all of these years until we didn't have them anymore. Mono meals became more regular than I'd ever imagined and it was ok.
