Memories of childhood are peppered with the delicious foods we first experienced, and these are woven in to the joys of life with our first family. And sometimes these foods can be very comforting in our adult lives, weaving our life together with our childhood, creating a sense of continuity, tradition, and history. As raw vegans, we can focus on the raw foods we may have enjoyed in our childhoods. They may not be as many, but these memories are often sweeter!Even my family had some fruit traditions...- Crates of mandarine oranges during the Christmas season...- Grapes when someone wasn't feeling well...- Fresh raw corn from the garden in late summer...- Eating warm strawberries from the strawberry patch on summer afternoons- Eating fresh peas right off the vine freely on my Grandparents' farm in Sweden as a young child- My Dad's delight when he found his favorite berries, red currants, in the store...- My Mom's

bliss when she harvested her fresh dill, reminding her of Sweden in Springtime...In Joy!Jinjeehttp://www.TheGardenDiet.com
